Echoes of The Past

As he reached the threshold, he inserted his key into the lock and embraced his house. On hearing the echoes of his misfortune, he became extremely sad. He carried upon his unpleasing looking face a truckload of misfortune hanging on his neck like an Olympic medal.

Ignorant of what tomorrow holds for him, painful memories flooded his mind that he couldn’t even sleep. The morning walked briskly into brightness. The sky heavy with the promise of rain. Not the best of time as hopelessness sat upon the throne of his heart. After a while he thought to himself “since I have better things to do with my life, I had better place this thought on the doorstep of the past.”

At last he was received by the outside world, as he became opened to be transformed from his past experience. And so opportunity finally shone on him. He met a man in the pool of old age (angel) who rescued him from his misfortune. As the boughs of tree danced quietly and bowed carefully to the sweet movement of the evening breeze, so was his problems and misfortune swept off.

He smiled and said to himself “I have finally opened my eyes upon the Light.”
